Real estate is the largest asset class in the world. But the real estate industry has not historically been known for innovation. As a global owner and operator, we’ve experienced firsthand the pain points facing our industry and the need to be on the forefront of what’s next. So, what happens when real estate and technology collide?
Transforming our business with an investment in tomorrow
/
Our investments to date
Today, we have an integrated, end-to-end proptech investment platform encompassing early-stage venture and later-stage SPAC executions. We have invested early, backing nearly 20 fast-growth companies in the real estate technology space.
We partner with companies for their long-term success, and have a dedicated portfolio management function for our proptech investments focused on delivering on our partnership and creating value, from day one onward. A great example is our longstanding partnership with Latch. Latch’s beautiful smart locks and world class building management and access control software improve the daily experience for customers living in our spaces. We have been a customer of Latch’s for years and we were also an early investor. When Latch was ready to become a public company, they chose to go public through our SPAC. We are not just an investor, but also a highly strategic partner. In the future, we look forward to helping Latch expand globally and to adopting their technology in our commercial buildings.
