Seeking the disruptive technologies that will transform the real estate experience

Investing Where Tech Meets Real Estate

Real estate is the largest asset class in the world. But the real estate industry has not historically been known for innovation. As a global owner and operator, we’ve experienced firsthand the pain points facing our industry and the need to be on the forefront of what’s next. So, what happens when real estate and technology collide?

Disruption underway

Today, our industry is in the early stages of a profound technology disruption, one that is driving massive structural changes. Proptech is transforming our business at every level to better meet the needs of our customers. From design and construction to property management and leasing, these technologies are changing how we interact with built spaces, making them better places to live, work, and play.

Transforming our business with an investment in tomorrow

Today, we have an integrated, end-to-end proptech investment platform encompassing early-stage venture executions. We have invested early, backing 41 fast-growth companies in the real estate technology space.

At Tishman Speyer, we've led the industry in identifying, adopting, and scaling new technologies.

We partner with companies for their long-term success, and have a dedicated portfolio management function for our proptech investments focused on delivering on our partnership and creating value, from day one onward.

A true partner

We are also excited to support other leading proptech companies where we have longstanding customer and investor relationships. Companies like VTS, a commercial leasing software that streamlines our property management function and improves our customers’ leasing experience. And OpenSpace, a machine vision AI software for construction that improves the efficiency of the construction process and increases safety on the job site.

Uniquely positioned as both investor and user

Tishman Speyer has been on the forefront of our industry as an innovator and industry megaphone. By embracing the disruption embodied by technology, we have transformed our approach to real estate and helped to improve the industry as a whole.
