Take Jackson Park, a premier residential property completed in 2019 in Long Island City, New York. To live there is to find new and interesting ways to connect. Located just steps away from six different transit lines, Jackson Park offers its residents unparalleled access to all the city has to offer. Within 12 minutes they could be in Midtown Manhattan, or for just 13 minutes more they could face down the bull on Wall Street. But often residents find a connection at home among a host of indoor and outdoor amenities. From a shared 5-story 50,000 square foot amenity building referred to as “The Club,” to a 1.6-acre private park, Jackson Park offers a rare urban sanctuary.

Discovering a new angle on San Francisco
On the west coast, San Franciscans can find MIRA, a 40-story mixed-income condominium designed by award-winning architecture practice Studio Gang Architects. MIRA offers a fresh take from every angle. The tower features distinctive large bay windows spiraling up the façade to offer sweeping views of San Francisco Bay, the Bay Bridge, and the city skyline. But it was our take on affordability that really gave MIRA an unusual twist.

Challenge the norm
While in development, we collaborated with the City of San Francisco and San Francisco’s Office of Community Investment and Infrastructure to increase the allowable height and unlock additional land value that could then be returned as affordable units. We also conducted outreach to local communities and partnered with Homeownership SF to support first-time home buyers and ensure a diverse representation of lottery applications. Now complete, MIRA achieves 40% affordability.

Tishman Speyer has delivered or is in the process of constructing thousands of rental and condominium units across the world that also contain affordable and workforce housing components. We take pride in developing these units ourselves, guaranteeing the same level of quality across projects.

In China we’ve been in the residential business since 2007, creating homes like those at The Springs in Shanghai where we curated an oasis of green urban living that prioritizes the health and wellness of its residents.
