Elevators The building contains (4) Fujitech traction passenger elevators and one Fujitech traction freight elevator. HVAC Description The building is cooled by trane roof-mounted, package HVAC units serving variable air volume (VAV) boxes at each floor. Condenser water cooling is provided by a closed-circuit cooling tower at the roof manufactured by Baltimore air coil. Four trane heat-pump units serve lobby areas and the elevator equipment room. The water-cooled air-handling units utilize scroll compressors and the heat pump units utilize reciprocating compressors. The air handler capacities are 60- and 75-ton units. The cooling tower fan motor is served by variable frequency drive (VFD) control and the circulation system is served by sand filter. Two 40-horsepower, 1,050 gallon-per-minute capacity condenser water pumps serve the closed-loop system.
Electrical System Description Electricity for the building is provided by Southern California Edison from an on-site padmounted transformer. The building is served by a main electric panel rated at 4,000 ampere, 177/480-volt, 3-phase, 4-wire; distribution panels are 200 ampere. The electrical service is protected from overloads via circuit breakers of varying capacity.
